We want to thank the many volunteers that showed up to pitch in and
do whatever it takes to bring this event together. We would like to thank Karin Dourherty and our Middle School volunteers,
Maxine Buretta, Alice and Zoey Goodridge and Emma Provost; their skills at face painting and hair-coloring proved a whopping
hit as our little ones walked away with wearing holiday cheer and colorful hair designs. We would also like to thank the new parents to the PTF, Niki and Mark Castelleno
and Kelly Zeiner, as well as Stacy O'Conner, Teel Foster, Rose Richter, Rebecca Clary, Wanda Frost, Elizabeth Burrell,
just to name a few! Thank you to Joan LeMole and the Key Club for helping run the holiday games. Thank you to Illmi
Carter, Ann McClellan, and Kelly Zeiner for helping little fingers put crafts together.
A big warm thank you to all the teachers who, after teaching all day, showed up to sell homemade ornaments
and crafts that they made in their classrooms: Jo Linscott, our Kindergarten teacher who shows up to all the meetings
and heads the popular cookie decorating table; Our principals Jane Moore and Eleanor Hendrixson, for popping all that
popcorn; and Jeanne Niswander, a veteran PTF member and Title One Teacher, for overseeing the craft tables and set
up and break down. Thank you to all the Dads who showed up to support us by throwing in a hand, lugging tables and cleaning up. Also, Alan Harvey for cleaning up and shoveling off cars to get us home safely. Thank you to outgoing Chairperson
Mary Carpenter for being our go-to person for just about everything, and showing up even though your 2 year term
was over! (We so appreciate you). Thank you to Judy Lessard and Wanda Harvey (our dedicated Treasure) for their tireless
efforts and picture taking.
Thank you to the Midcoast
School of Technology for preparing the lasagna supper. Thank you to AquaMaine for providing water. And a big thank you
to Dorna and Joe Joki for stepping in to work the kitchen.
Thank you to all the parents who brought your children out and enjoyed the family event. We also want to thank the
custodial staff at South School for being there to bring up tables, help us set up and for cleaning up after the
storm of it all. The all over team effort proved to be a warm spirited event that brought families, teachers and friends
together to celebrate a wonderful time of year.
The MacDougal-South School PTF runs on all the time and support
of all of these people and more. Without the support of all of you we wouldn't be able to do what we do. We are most
proud to be able to support the enrichment programs held here at our schools, such as sending our 2nd graders to the
Nutcracker this season as well as so much more. We welcome all newcomers and invite you in the community to come on board
as we continue to support our kids and teachers in our schools.
Sincerely, The Family of the PTF
