Food Play May, 7 2008
We've been invited to South School on May 7th to see a nutrition and health theater show called Food Play. The show is
designed to help improve the eating and exercise habits of school children. It's a fun show featuring juggling, music,
magic and audience participation!
Be sure to arrive to school on time as students will depart promptly at 8:45 a.m. and will return to school by 10:30
a.m.
Unfortunately, due to the limited number of seating
at South School, parents and siblings are unable to attend this event. Thank you for your understanding.
Please
return permission slips by Monday, May 5th. Thanks!

Tuesday, May 13th at 9:30 a.m. In the Rockland District High School Auditorium
Mr. Walton
and MacDougal students are proud to star in their spring music concert! The concert will last 40 minutes and
will be great fun! Don't miss it!
Students will take a bus to/from the high school. I strongly
encourage parents/guests to either park at MacDougal and walk with us or arrive at the high school early enough to park in
the back parking lot. There are "NO PARKING" signs posted along the high school's entrance. Parking tickets
were issued last year for families who parked along the front entrance to the high school.

Marine
Resources Aquarium First Grade Field Trip
Thursday,
June 12th Bus 1, containing two classes, departs at 8:45 Bus 2, containing two classes, departs
at 9:45
|
|
We will leave MacDougal at 8:45 and 9:45 and return around 1:45.
We will tour the aquarium and have a lobster presentation. We will be eating lunch at the aquarium before we return home.
Children should dress for the weather since we will be outside. All children must have sunscreen and insect
repellent applied at home. Please do not send it in their backpacks!
We need parent chaperones
to guide groups through the aquarium and to supervise lunch. The aquarium has asked that younger siblings do not accompany
us on the trip.
Children and adults will need a lunch, snacks, and drinks. Please do not pack glass bottles. It
is a good idea to send a bottle of water as well. School bag lunches are available for students only. All adults will need
to bring lunches from home.
We will arrive back at school around 1:45. Parents are welcome to take children home
immediately following our return, since they are usually extremely tired.
Please fill out all permission notes
and return them to your child's teacher as soon as possible.
We look forward to a fun day!
