I have had a
wonderful year teaching your children. As you are aware, I will be absent for the remainder of the year on maternity
leave but, I am looking forward to returning to my teaching position in the fall. I leave my students in the capable
hands of Miss Fullerton and Mrs. Honkonen. I wish you all a very happy summer!
I
am so very happy to finally be able to send you all a little note with some great news. My husband and I are delighted to
have our new little son Benjamin Wyatt Robertson. As you may have read in the newspaper and hopefully have heard from the
class, he was born on Monday, March 26th at 5:12 in the morning. He was 7 lbs 3 oz but is well over 8 lbs by now! He measured
at 20 inches but was already 20 ¾ at his 1-week check up. All things seem to point to a fast growing boy! We are all
doing well at home and getting into the swing of things. I am amazed at just how fast every day seems to go by. I think of
all of you parents on that first day of school and how so many of you kept telling me you just couldn't believe that your
child was starting kindergarten. I am starting to get a glimpse of what you mean. I can hardly believe he will be three weeks
old on Monday and I know that the time will just continue to fly by.
It was so wonderful to visit the class today and share Benjamin with them. I am so thankful for this
wonderful time I have at home with him but I must admit that I miss my kids so very much. I constantly think about the class
and love hearing how things are going. I have greatly enjoyed the pictures I have received from the kids. Their pictures are
priceless and will be put in his baby book. I have loved getting a few letters in the mail from some of the kids in the class
and I try to respond to them as soon as possible.
I am hoping to join the class at the
Charlotte's Web field trip this month. I am so thankful that Ms. Fullerton is there with the kids and that things are
going so well. Your children are just so amazing and I miss them dearly! I hope you all are doing well and I look forward
to stopping into the classroom now and again. Please feel free to keep in touch through e-mail, mail, phone, or even a visit.
Enjoy the pictures!
